Dr. Nico Naumann attended primary and secondary school in Düsseldorf, Germany and completed his medical studies and doctoral thesis at the University of Pavia (Milan). After a year in General Surgery, he spent five years in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Elisabeth Hospital, in Cologne where he specialized. He then spent two years as a Research Fellow in Reproductive Medicine and Minimal Invasive Surgery at the London Gynecology and Fertility Center in Harley Street, London, where he developed his subspecialty in Assisted Conception, (including IVF). Fellowships in Fertility Surgery at Columbia University, New York, and Stanford University, Stanford, California, USA, followed. In 1999 Dr. Naumann opened a private practice in Rome, Italy. He is a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe (DGGG) and American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). Since 2006 he is the Scientific Director of the Centre for Reproductive Medicine in Rome.
