Oatmeal Cookies
Makes about 4 dozen cookies

Ingredients


190 gm of butter (6 ounces) softened to room temperature
1 cup of soft brown sugar (packed)
1/2 cup of white granulated sugar
1 large egg
1/4 cup of water
1 teaspoon vanilla (liquid)
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
2 cups of raisins OR 1 cup of raisins and 1 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans
3 cups of oats (quick cooking)

Method


Pre heat your oven to 180°C (350°F)
Mix thoroughly the butter,sugars,egg, water, and vanilla.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Plop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Space the dough about an inch apart as they will spread while baking.
Bake the cookies for 12-15 minutes.
Remove them from cookie sheet immediately and place them on cookie rack or paper towel to cool.
These cookies store well in the freezer or in an air tight container.
